Lin Haw is a local wholesale for cables and stuff, but they do sell by piece. They almost always have every single thing in stock too. http://www.linhawstore.com/

I hope you're not expecting to get any cables locally at the same 'cheap' price as monoprice. You can find cheap-ish cables locally, but you're still going to pay at least double what monoprice charges..

BTW, do make sure to get SHIELDED VGA cables - cheap unshielded ones tend to have ghosting problems. Shielded means the individual RGB signal wires have their own ground shields within the sheath, where unshielded types just use a straight-through wire for each ground.

Another way is look for the thick ass VGA cables. They're much thicker than the non shielded ones. May or may not have a ring magnet on either side too.

I have purchased many poorly shielded VGA cables, they all give me ghost image. It is better if you can get one from a local store that offers satisfaction guarantee. Never buy cheap VGA.
