When I made 30k, 14 years ago, I lived at 8th and Main. I blew all my money and lived cheque to cheque, but in 2-3 years I fucked 100+ cute chicks, partied all the time, went to the drags every weekend at Hammersmith, Iona, the place in Langley at 264th, and the one near 0 Ave. I had such an epic time, so many fun memories!
Yes, you can say "what do you have to show for it?" and all I could say was "experiences."
It is up to me to determine if those experiences were worth having no financial gain from the work I did at that time.
You should be saving your money and living under your means, not blowing it at every opportunity. What do you have to show for it? That you are fiscally irresponsible.
What a joke.
How is your finance situation now? Do you still blow money like that?
All the time, but I live a very fun life, I'm constantly growing. I have so much fun putting together YouTube videos on my channel "sicklovestudios." Not to mention getting my first book out, the girls I date, the artists I work with, I'm really happy and loving life. Financially I'm at a 0 net worth, but can you put a price tag on your happiness?

It's already hard enough to connect with them when you're 50+. Imagine trying to do that with your kids when you're even older than that.
I don't really worry about it. Read up on helicopter parents and many of the other modern parenting phenomenons described online. My parenting approach will simply be to identify what they're passionate about, what they're good at, and encourage both. Even if I had a daughter who was a brain dead hot blonde who wanted to strip, I would make sure she was the best at whatever she did. Or if I had a son who was huge into garbage disposal and was a brony, I would make sure he was able to start his own business and have the best Pinky Pie costume in Canada, booyah!
Fuck you guys worry about so much shit you have no control over.
i remember living in downtown being a 14 dollar baller... it was the life... lived nearly paycheck to paycheck, partied almost every night, it was great!
but that was fun. now im living sensible.

Who cares if you have a million dollars in the bank when you're a old fart that can barely walk. You're must likely going to get robbed by your child/children anyways. It won't be as enjoyable than spending it in your younger years.

invest first then spend. If you have your first million, making the next 10 is really easy!!!
if you have 1 million by 30, you should be set.
Your second million should only take you a few more years or you could be just stupid spend it all and have to go back to WORK again

Here in Korea, I see a bunch of older folks and seniors that live in the subway. The reason being that they gave their kids all their hard earned money, and the kids kicked them out of the house.
Some sad shit.

How would anyone know what income they're stuck at during any given moment of one's life?
I think we're all free to soar or fall hard, depending on how bad you want it.(or how little you care...)
I'd define "stuck" by that of someone lacking ambition. eg: you're 35 partying like a baller and making 30k. Then you're stuck at at that income clearly not wanting to improve your worth.
Of course everyone starts off differently and I agree that we're all free to pursue our own happiness. But financial responsibility (especially if you want a family or pursue other aspirations) is definitely important.
Being liquid is important. I'd rather have money in my shitty wallet than have an expensive wallet and use cc's.
Are those figures in Filipino Pesos rather than American Dollars??

being an older member of RS, I can respect both sides of the spending now Vs saving for the future. When I was in my 20s I use to party pretty hard (wasted allot of money drinking and going out with chicks) but never spent more than I made (living at home helps out allot on this front). Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I was a little crazier with my spending when I was in my 20s and early 30's. I would finance a cooler car (always bought 3-5 yr older cars) and live in a more pimp condo downtown.
For all you young guys up and coming, your 20s and 30s are fucking precious, enjoy them, cause it is never the same when you get married and have kids. Not saying be a $30K a year millionaire, but if you have any drive in life, if you spend, you will find a way to make more money....my 2 cents......
