Help in Identifying Bulb Type 3 Attachment(s) Can anyone point me in the right direction for replacing this small style led bulb? What style is it, and from the picture is the easiest way to replace them just to use a soldering iron? |
Can you remove the clip that's attached to it? I think you're supposed to replace that whole piece where the bulbs are attached to. |
I can unplug the 2 wires leading into the small plastic connector. I tried looking online for the whole part, no luck. And I'm not able to get the rubber grommet off. |
what car is this from? Sylvania can help you out. https://www.sylvania.com/en-us/appli...s/lrgmain.aspx\ ^^ normally it is the entire bulb and socket that gets replaced. if the harness disconnects from the bulb.... |
by looking @ it u should be able to disconnect the plastic with wire in it. there should be lil slide lock which u have to pick it with small screw driver. is this liscence plate light? |
Looks like an aftermarket LED bulb. Should be able to pull straight out of the black socket. I may be wrong though. |
It's an aftermarket halo ring, the black part is not a socket but a rubber grommet. I've found 3mm led bulbs that look similar, but it's JUST the bulb and nothing else. |
What does the other end plug into? Check if there is power going to the led, if there is then just change the led. If there is no power to the led, then you'll have to dig deeper. It is fairly rare that led burns out, especially two at the same time. |
