Fire Emblem: Awakening

If you've played any of the previous Fire Emblems, then this is not one to be missed. Characters can be paired up or if they're adjacent to one another, will assist in battle. Relationships will form if they keep getting paired up. I downloaded the demo, and wanted more. It's being very highly reviewed, and physical copies are being snapped up, fast.

I went to Best Buy in Langley, yesterday, but they didn't receive their shipment yet. They received a bunch this morning, and I reserved it, and picked up a copy. I even got a nice FE art book with it.

It's available for download, but I don't think it's worth full price vs the physical cartridge.

I got the old one, on my SFC, hella fun. Is it out only on the 3DS?

checked several sites and the game box says 3DS. didn't see any other copies available for the DS.

This is pretty cool. They had it in Super Robot Wars since their gba games which I thoguht was pretty awesome.

Sorry, forgot to mention, it's a 3DS exclusive. There's 3DS FE bundle that's blue, and has the FE emblem on it, if you don't have a 3DS

This game is challenging on hard. I'm playing Classic mode, so death is permanent. I'm finding myself replaying chapters, if I lose someone. Although, I lost Virion on the 3rd chapter, and he was enough of an effeminate douchebag that I didn't care too much about his death. Also, I didn't see him in the art book, so I figure his importance isn't as great.

I finished the game last night on Normal Classic. I ditched the hard game because it was taking a long time due to restarts, and lack of experience. I lost a few of my favorite characters at the end, and sent some newbs to slaughter on the final stage. I just started Hard Classic, again. It's more doable, now that I have some strategies.

I love this game. The story is fantastic. I got a bit teary-eyed at times, I laughed out loud, and also yelled at the game. It really sucks you in. I avoided strategy guides to prevent accidental spoilers. The interactions between the characters is something that you can spend a lot of time building. I've had a few of them marry, and have kids. It took me, just over, 30 hours to finish the game. That's without spending much time with Reeking Boxes.

If you like turn-based strategies, then you need to get this game. If you don't have a 3DS, then you have to buy the Fire Emblem bundle. This game is a fucking masterpiece, and well worth it's purchase price.
