I just got home from Guatemala. I'm going to miss dirt cheap avocados everywhere. We were building a house and they had a tree in the back yard, random avocados all over the place.

i use them in wraps as a mayo/sauce substitute.
just quickly mash up a soft one and spread it generously

avocados with some salt & pepper and I'm good to go

Craving avocados now, holy cow. Guacamole with corn, cilantro, bacon, salt, pepper and lime juice, oh god bring it on. Never thought of mashing in an egg, gotta try that tomorrow, when I buy a bunch lol.

I'd just got a nice discussion going on the BCRDUKES thread when it was closed down... knowing RS, I really shouldn't be surprised at how this thread has taken off; RS collectively has a rich history of giving excess attention to even the smallest things :D

As to the original thread... FUCK YES to avocados!

No one addressed how they store excess avocados so they dont all ripen at the same time. I've had varying success when i put the net bag of them into the fridge and pull one out at a time to ripen. Where it fails is when I totally forget about the ones in the fruit drawer of the fridge.

got inspired as well but the avocados i got were super unripe as fuck. Almost cut myself peeling them. But added some lemon juice, cilantro, hard boiled eggs and ciracha sauce and its pretty damn good still!

Don't mind how I failed with opening the bag of chips; I busted my finger on Saturday working on my car, and couldn't grip it properly. Two avocados is a lot though, holy. Needed more bacon though, and I love raw onions in my dip so I added a lot. Saving this for later, so much noms.
