Benz accessory sockets

Does Benz put cutoffs on their accessory sockets that have constant power? i.e. will the car cut off power if the voltage drops below 12V?

Car is a 2005 ML and the socket by the passenger foot well has constant power.

what's key one power? like putting turning the key into position one?

I found that the socket at the bottom of the feet has constant power with no key in the ignition.

SHOULD BE ACCESSORY POWER, THUS, ONCE THE KEY IS OUT, ITS POWERED OFF.

SSM_DC5 04-24-2013 04:22 PM

well, that's not what is happening.
I've had it plugged in there the whole time now and *fingers crossed* still didn't come back to the car with a dead battery.

then you should get the car diagnosed, maybe programming issue, maybe wiring, or even a control unit. either way, should get it checked.
