Sounds like a gunshot between shift. And that blower noise! http://www.focusst.org/forum/attachm...a_o_249657.jpg

Wonder how much mods are done to it

pretty sure that'd be rather uneventful considering it pulls 1.00g on the skidpad

The GT500 is even faster on the track then the Boss 302. 1:38.7 on Laguna Seca. So, it corners just fine :)

Not with drag radials on the back and skinnies on the front... it'd be lucky to pull 3/4 of that.

There is a video of that exact car in my first post on a track. I cant find it right now, but it did just fine:fullofwin:

^ I agree with what lowside67 said, it will perform poorly with drag tires, but who would go on a track with drag tires?

I think a lot of people try really hard to completely discredit the new mustangs. They're not all about acceleration anymore, I'm sure if this car had another badge on it a lot of people would feel differently

I'm not taking anything away from that car but it is a very different car and I bet a stock GT500 would be faster around a road course. It's not just the drag tires, it also has a complete different drag-specific suspension, smaller brakes up front to fit the skinnies, etc. It's a different car now.

A C6 Z06 wouldn't be as fast in a straight line on the drag strip but would murder it around the track for less money.
