Class 4 license question for jobs

Ive seen a few job posting about this, Bus driving and Ambulance (including patient transfer)

I have my class 5 for over 13years, Im thining of just getting the 1hr indivual lesson instead of the 4-5hr lesson package..

Anyone who have this license would suggest I get the package or 1-2hrs is enough?

I have driven 25ft U-haul trucks, so driving big vehicles arent a problem..

1-2 hr is more than enough. I did my test with out one.
Read the book on class 4. Driving test is just like class 5.
However, it will just be more strict.

What you need to know, if you want restricted and unrestricted.

If you want to be an ambulance driver, it is VERY hard to get in. As in next to impossible.

Where do u get these 1 or 2 hour lessons? I drive a 15 passenger van occasionally for my work and only have my class 4 learners. Not really sure how to do the pre trip inspection test lol. Will the lessons help with that?

i don't know about any of the license stuff but good luck becoming a paramedic (if that crossed your mind).

i seriously thought about it before and went in to a station to chat with them.

basically what they said was, you're not gonna end up working in any big cities like vancouver unless you've been there a long while. like 6+ years. you're gonna start off in some rural shithole that you've never heard of and be paid $1/h to be hold a pager and be on call or something. you only get paid regular wage when calls actually come in.

there's a seniority list, and it's very, very, long. and everybody wants to work in big cities. so you gotta wait till the old guys retire.
