i usually don't pay over 60 for a tie... i have a whole bunch of them (50+) as I used to work in marketing. It's whatever suits you, most people don't go up to a tie and feel it so as long as it looks great you're good to go. One tip i always use when purchasing a tie for certain occasions, if you are wearing a flat colored patternless shirt, you can go black, or get a tie with a pattern. If your shirt has a pattern, go with a patternless tie. BTW. I always go double (full) windsor knot. |

i go for a half windsor knot because it covers up the gap in between the collars a full windsor makes the knot smaller compared to a half windsor right? I think a half windsor works on most ties while a full windsor only works on ties which are thicker in material |
