this most people automatically assume drug use. I don't really like lil wayne's music. but the dude is literally EVERYWHERE, you dont get to that by sitting on your ass all day sipping. every 20 sec verse you hear him put out there is hours of work that goes behind it from planning to production to actual recording. the 3+ min mtv probably took at least a day or 2 to make. He doesn't just just sing and rap he is involve in almost every aspect of his music. People that don't work in the entertainment industry dont understand and just assume its 10 min of work follow by 5 hr of party, that is not the case.


You work your ass off, all the sipping sniffing and smoking just goes along with it. any musician will tell you music sounds better when your high:devil:

^to add to that, when these guys DO party, they're there because the strip club/nightclub is paying them to be there and paying for their booze, so they can charge more for tickets. When i was in miami joe budden was in the club one time and lil wayne the other time...both times they didn't even appear or anything, they're lireally just sitting in vip and you can't see them...

drinking like mad til 5am for cash, waking up the next day at 8am on your tour bus, smoking a joint and going to do promos...what a life...i'll stick to my office job to be honest lol

i don't enjoy his lyrics, they never seemed really sophisticated and enough wordplay for me. tons of rappers have lots more skill lyrically than him (eminem, tech n9ne, hopsin..) but the man is a genius in his own right, you don't get to be that rich without being smart. he's a great businessman, and knows how to market his shit. whether you like his music or not, you gotta admit he's good at what he does (making money). and i never hate on someone for making money, same can be said for justin bieber etc etc
