tried doing soft reset?

If all else fails, you can do a hard reset but you risk bricking your device. Remove the sim card before doing a hard reset or it may take hours.

Tbh, sounds more like a software issue than hardware. This symptom was pretty normal in the win 7.8 days, I usually do a soft reset and it should fix the problem.
