Help please! Forgot anniv.. Need date activities for March 23rd, 2013!

Hi,

Serious thread. I forgot our anniversary.
Any ideas for tomorrow March 23rd, 2013?

I'm screwed. :okay:

I wish you luck in your search for a new girlfriend that begins March 24th, 2013.

Give a dog a bone, dude. What do you guys usually do, what type of food does she like, is she outdoorsy, etc?

subordinate 03-22-2013 07:14 PM

Just bring her out to a meal, shouldn't be that difficult on a day like that. It's not like it's Feb 14th.

dinosaur 03-22-2013 08:29 PM

How long have you guys been together?

Married? Living together? Kids?

Give us the stats.

!Yaminashi 03-22-2013 08:49 PM

Why not make her dinner? IMO putting in the effort to do something says "i care" more than paying for a meal.

7 years, living together. No kids.

I booked pear tree for dinner. Still looking up some other stuff to do during the day. Maybe a lunch and an activity.

BurnoutBinLaden 03-22-2013 11:15 PM

Some ideas for your daytime activity:

A walk through Burnaby Lake or Mountain, if you choose BM you can take a picnic lunch to the top if the weather cooperates

Strolling around Edmonds City Centre or Downtown New West, checking out the kitschy shops

Ice skating, Granville Island, walk the seawall, couples yoga...

jackmeister 03-23-2013 12:31 AM

you should do everything the same as what you did the day you asked her out. ya know, just to let her know you dont have the 7 year itch.
and also delete your internet history.

breakfast in bed... sex... lunch in bed... sex ... peartree ... dessert... sex...nap ... sex

guddagudd 03-23-2013 01:25 AM

breakfast in bed, lexus in red, nomsaiyan?

dinosaur 03-23-2013 07:52 AM

Do you really need to do more than taking her out for dinner?

Flowers and dinner should be adequate.

I don't get so much as an acknowledgment!

fliptuner 03-23-2013 08:02 AM

Aquarium, minigolf, Castle Fun Park, Granville Island..... It's supposed to be a gorgeous day to do outdoor stuff.

edit: On second thought...... 7 years? Goddamn! Time to buy her a remote control.

I will go above and beyond for you, baby. :hotbaby:

BurnoutBinLaden 03-24-2013 03:54 PM

So how did it go?

Matlock 03-24-2013 06:19 PM

Thanks a lot for your input, everyone. Was kinda scared of getting fails :)

Went fine. Took her to brunch at Salade de Fruits, which was very very good. Went for a cruise around Stanley Park and plans got changed so we just hung out with our friends and rescheduled Pear Tree for next week.

I didn't cook her a fancy dinner or anything as I usually do all the cooking and did pretty well making a huge meal for Valentines day. We don't eat out at fancy places that much.

No offence...but after 7 years shouldn't you know what your gf likes and doesn't like? If it was 1 or 2 I'd be a little unsure..but 7 years?

Next time...plan this shit in advance. If anything it will keep your blood pressure low.

Also Salade de Fruits is a few blocks away from the Ethiopian restaurant my dad used to run, right next to Cheesecake Etc. It went bust because he wanted to stay on the west side, so he had to pay west side rent. It's probably a Donnelly joint now or something.

Once you know, it becomes a routine. And once it becomes a routine, you get bored.

And when you get bored, you start exploring other options.

DUH! GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

This.

Also, Vancouver is small and there are only so many things to do. Plus it has been a bit too cold outside to do any warm weather activities. I just wanted to explore my options.

Thanks again.
