How to remove: fabric dye stained wood products Hey guys, I have around 700+ wood products normally sheathed in a blue cloth, my workers just found out that the blue cloth had stained the wood products with blue marks all over it (despite having a plastic cover on it). Do you guys have any recommendations on how to remove the stains? I'm trying a bunch, based on google (peroxide/baking soda, mr. clean magic eraser, vinegar/baking soda), and the fabric manufacturer is coming down to check the extent of the damage. Notes: worked with same company for 10+ years tried out new fabric = problem :okay::okay: Any suggestion would be very helpful. |
Hair spray? Works on ink. Honestly, wood is so porous that that I don't know if you'll be able to pull the stain out of it. The grain is basically little straws all bundled together. It depends on how deep the stain is. If its shallow on the wood, by the time you mess around with all these chemicals, it may be easier to sand it off. What type of wood product is it? Another wild ass guess...use some water and then pile on rice to draw the moisture, and hopefully the dye with it. Be careful with anything water based though, it raises the grain on the wood. |
