Pressure Washer problem
 

OK, i have a Karcher 2000psi electric pressure washer purchased NEW from CDn Tire about 2yrs ago.

It came with 2 'wands'... one is a dirt blaster wand and the other a 'vario' wand. The dirt blaster wand works fine...100% at full pressure...BUT the 'vario' wand recently started to do this: (any ideas?)

Electric pressure washers work by using a pressure switch that activates the pump when a drop in pressure is sensed.

It seems like in your case, pressure is building up in the wand and is causing the switch to turn the motor off prematurely. It could be that there is debris or corrosion impeding the water flow from the nozzle orifice. Or it could be that you have the nozzle set too tight.

Im guessing your "dirt blaster wand" has a higher flow rate, which is why it still works.

I would try cleaning the nozzle/wand and see if that helps. Maybe try forcing water through the opposite direction, or soak the nozzle in CLR.

so.. today, i took the dirt blaster and connected the 'vario' blaster to the end... i sprayed into the vario with full pressure at both ends...and that fixed it up. most likely sand/debris in the blaster was washed out? but it works back to 100% now.
