Stumped about vibration
 

So my car has this weird vibration that I've been trying to eliminate... I've gone through four sets of wheels, three sets of tires, and it's still here!

Basically there is a persistent vibration which is noticeable around 80+ km/h, and when I put the car into a long sweeper or sustained turn there is a "wub wub wub" sound that is there. It seems to be louder when I am turning left (i.e. loading the right side) like on the Arthur Laing cloverleaf heading to No.3 Road.

I have had the tires re-balanced multiple times at BJ Autohaus, the suspension checked for play at PG Performance and they thought it was fine, and am considering an alignment or new wheel bearings to see if that solves the problem.

This happens with my original 18" OEM wheels, a set of Team Dynamics 18" wheels, 16" winter wheels, and now my new set of 18x8.5" wheels. The sound/vibration is more prominent with the larger wheels. I had Dunlops on the car, then Kumho's, then Continentals, and now another set of Kumho's.

Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps that I can try to solve this problem?

I have no experience about that but you check your wheel Axel because as you telling you are feeling the sound more when you are turning and also check the oil gage system if you unable to solve it so go to a car care shop it will more easy for you

I don't think it's your alignment. More likely your wheel hub bearing is going out. Get it checked out before you throw money at it. The symptoms you describe point to it though.

Yup sounds like your wheel bearing is going. Get it diagnosed before throwing money into it though.

Its your wheel bearings. Youve done more trouble shooting then I woulda done to come to such a conclusion.

Okay, thanks for the suggestion on the wheel bearing. How do I figure out which one it is?

i believe you said hear it most when you turn left, correct?

if so, it should be the passenger side if you are driving a left hand drive vehicle.
