Halibut Fillets

The best price I've seen is at Thrifty's for 3.50/100g... Wheelhouse on Hastings is about 5 but very fresh smelling.

Where are your favourite fish joints? I prefer fillets because steaks you cut through the guts and the worm eggs can end up in the flesh. Yuck

I worked in a seafood dept from three year at thrifty foods. You ain't skipping any worms by not buying a steak. At thrifty foods ask for something from the bottom of the pile in the case. Dont be afraid to smell it. Should be white to translucent and not sticky.

Thirty foods has gone a bit downhill but if you are unhappy with something you are being sold by all means voice it because thrifty foods customer service is very good compared to other local chains.

Price wise thrifty foods Is decent when items are on sale.
