Sport Chek Friends and Family event May 15th/16th

This event is pretty self explanatory at this point, I get PMs constantly asking me when the next event is..so thought i'd share it

for those of you who don't know, happens at Sport Chek 2-3 times per year.

2 days only, 25% off regular priced items, 10% off item already on sale.

Decent deal on stuff that usually don't go on sale, like UA, Ray Bans, Moose Knuckle, Oakleys etc....

Coupon should be out on the 6th, will post Coupon once I get it...

Sorry that is the only exclusion for this event for winter
And this time of the year, none of the stores will have their canada goose out

Metropolis will have Moose Knuckle though, and those are eligiable

I linked a high-res copy off my dropbox and added it to the OP. Just click it for the full size. Thanks skiipi.

FYI, for anybody that have the team assist cards, the coupons cannot be stacked w/ the F/F offer, however, the 5% kickback still applies, so you can get 25% off an arcteryx jacket, and still get 5% kick back towards your team giftcard

The season 3 stuff hasn't been mailed to us yet, well maybe just me..lol

So...whats the best deal on a Bike for Sportchek? Looking for a bike for trail riding and also pretty good on the road? Looking to drop $200-$500 or so? Would like something with front shocks at least and light weight.

Hard to give you a good recommendation with out knowing what you are using it for, but I highly recommend going with a GT or Jamis, while house brands like Nakamura or Reebok offers you more "bang for your buck" when it comes to components, the overall build quality is not nearly as high. The house brand bikes are also not designed with a purpose in mind so the parts are just slapped together.

the Jamis Trail X1 and GT Aggressor 3.0 are both good entry level recreational trail bikes priced at $399.99

If you can find a store that have any last year's GT or Jamis left, they will be minimum 30% off + an additional 10% during this event. However, if you have the team assist coupons, there is an "additional 20% off 1 item" coupon in there, which would be a better deal to use on an already reduced bike as you can get 20% off on top of the 30% marked down price.

yea, its basically like Canada goose, they use high quality down and real animal fur on the hood.

but the cut of the jackets are much more fashion oriented, so more fitted, and not as "puffy".

the price point is kind of in between Cgoose and Moncler

you can also look into a hybrid bike if you are not doing much trail riding
bigger wheels provide you with more efficiency when going on road/longer rides
and also a more upright riding position is easier on ur back, and makes it easier to carry a conversation w/o someone beside u as you are riding

GT Transeo 4.0 Satin Black 2013 - SportChek.ca

a little more, but if u can find a last year's model, they are going for $479.99

I wish I got in on the Jamis Sport that was being blown out last year around this time. I think it was around $360 with 25% and 5% return.

Ymmv, some stores will do it for u
Others won't
U can always buy the same visor on the sale day w/ the coupon
Then return the "new" visor w/ the old receipt
Just needs to be the exact same model

Do you need like a coupon you need to be holding? It's funny the footlocker 50% off employee sale is the same week, but that's not friends/family kinda thing. Gotta be with the person to get the hook up.
