Suggestions: Need nice 3.5" speakers and Physicly small amp

I have a motorcycle, I installed some 3.5" JLs on it, they sound alright but cant handle a lot of power and arnt overly loud, considering i'm on a bike and it's windy. I have no room for anything bigger then 3.5, that is the size of the hole.

Loud and clear is top priorty, don't really care about bass as you wont hear it over the pipe any ways.

Bonus if they are some what weather proof, but not critical.

I'm running an old school USamps amp to power what i got, physically fits under the seat but its not very powerful for small speakers, and the foot print isnt very good ether.
So i could use some ideas for some small amps with good power (2 channel) 150rms+ would be nice

But your going to have a tough time finding a small speaker to handle that much power.

Make baffle and mount a 4 inch like this: CL 4EX

We have been using these KS 125.2 BX Mini | Arc Audio for some time now and have been more than pleased. We honour the US pricing & still offer you the Revscene discount.

Memphis makes a motorcycle amp

Special Application Amplifiers from Memphis Car Audio

Never tried it before but heard about it recently

I am at the absolute limit for space with my 3.5's. 4's would my my search a lot easier.

That said, new goal, I need the LOUDEST 3.5" speakers possible, (be it coax or component, or even just a raw 3.5 mid driver.) for under $175 a pair. SQ is not a consideration, just LOUD with out terrible distortion.

The amp you suggested seems pretty ideal on paper, not sure how it performs in the real world? PPI has a good rep tho last time i checked? seems they can be found for $140 not half bad but I am open to more inexpensive options(used?).

Maybe this
GTO329 | Coaxial 3-1/2" (87mm) factory-sized replacement speakers | JBL US

Out of your price range
DDAW3 | DD Audio

I would keep the amp you have for now.

I have two German made Digital Designs DDAW3 speakers in stock. And I could do $199 CDN for the pair. I have the 6.5's and they are incredible!

It's interesting...
I know that size isnt everything, however being i have 3.5's as it is and those ddaw3's are even a bit smaller, with only a 20rms gain, do you think I would gain much volume considering the price put into them?

since it's on the bike all i care about is loud, SQ is near meaningless.

On that note, Instead of undermounting 3s or 3.5s what about top mounting some 4's that can fit into a 3.5" hole?

Can you show us a picture of your current set-up? There may be another solution out there for you as well.
Otherwise, for a speaker so small, mid/high range is about all that can be expected. Crossover points at the amp will also play a crucial role in your overall volume. Enclosure volume can also be very important as well in regards to speaker performance. You will also need to keep in mind that cone and surround material need to at least be water resistant as well in case it ever rains.

We have done many motorcycles and you're right, sound quality is near impossible. Getting loud and clear is always a challenge.

they have some xtc baffles too.

pictures added, input?

I thought for maybe something that would work is this because it says it can mount in a 3" hole, Dayton Audio RS100-4 4" or Dayton Audio ND105-4 Reference Full-Range Driver 4 Ohm 295-378
and pair it up with a tweet?

The DD's are 91DB /1w the JL's are 83DB/1w. That's a gain of 8 db's. The JL's would need around 7 watts to equal the DD's running with 1 watt.

Been doing some searching around, came across these 4" "old school" rockford componets Rockford Fosgate FNX 2412 Old School BNIB FNX 2414 4" Component Set | eBay

Could I get some sort of opinion of them? I contacted the owner, sounds like they might fit.
