Nixie Clocks, where to get them? or kits to make? I'm interested in getting or building a Nixie clock. I'd like to know the best place to get one if any one has a suggestion, local or online ether way. Or if any one has one privatively listed? (note I want a real nixie clock, not a look a like) Thanks for your time and help. For those who are wondering, this is a Nixie clock: http://daduke.org/img/nixieclock.jpg |
are they hard to make? shit should make a bunch and sell em at the night market hahaha... just looked them up on ebay.. they're hella expensive. i would be interested in one too, if they could be found for cheaper... or put together yourself.. |
From what I've gathered, they are relatively easy to make, but the problem is the tubes them-selfs have been discontinued for years, making them semi rare. a lot of the kits/tubes you find on ebay are from Europe too, so I'm also guessing that not a lot were manufactured/imported to north America. |
Buy a Nixie Watch looks like they sell spare tubes for their watch. Posted via RS Mobile |
that's pretty neat especially the watches shame they dont seem to show the whole time nor are they small enough this desk clock looks sweet too http://www.mapsevoli.com/images/nixie-10.jpg |
