That's a quality post you made there. Leads to some great questions.

Do you have to like other races less to like your own more?
Is there a cascading list of races that are inferior to yours, or is it just strictly, China..then everyone else?
Do you hang out with others, and have meetings with people that feel the same?

Wow. Just wow.

Drow 05-19-2013 10:23 AM

mmmmmm not so much race, but culture i guess?

for me i hate previous generation of mainlanders. im cool with the current gen, because they havent adopted the rude and obnoxious traits of their parents

hmmm... i also dont really like the ghetto bbc's and the ghetto mexicans like the ones you see in the states. the ones that are "hood"

i also dont like the old traditional kinds of white ppl, for e.g the ones that hate minorities and try to assume the bible is for everyone. take the westboro folks

i hate swag kids of any race

and i dont get why u nerds are so choked? i dont consider myself a racist. every race under the right mannerisms is a pleasant race to interact with.

it just so happens that if i was asked in a questionnaire... what race is best race, im gonna say chinese.

edit: i hope i didnt disappoint u guys by failing to be that hateful racist guy u all hoped to bandwagon upon. wooOooooO that chinese guy is WAISISSS THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY AND HES WAISISSSSSSS WEH WEH EVERY1 RAID HIS HOUSE WAHHHHHHH FAIL HIM GUyz MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER TAUGHT ME THAT ALL RACES ARE EQUALLLLL WAHHHHH

if you owned a car... its okay to think your car is better than everyone else's

if you had a kid... its okay to think your kid is better than everyone else's

but when it comes to race... you can't think your own is better than everyone else's ?

hey, if i were born as aboriginal, i'd think aboriginals were better than everyone else's race.

One could see how i'm a chinese supremacist (the dictionary definition does seem quite befitting) but i declare that is WRONG.

I am a Me-Supremacist.

Actually, we think they are annoying fanboys

if you had a kid... its okay to think your kid is better than everyone else's

Huge difference. Other people's kids are usually annoying.

but when it comes to race... you can't think your own is better than everyone else's ?

Honestly? I don't think of it.

hey, if i were born as aboriginal, i'd think aboriginals were better than everyone else's race.

There's a whole different thread on that one. Once again, I'd like to think it wouldn't come up..but I think that particular group tends to think 'different' more than 'better'

One could see how i'm a chinese supremacist (the dictionary definition does seem quite befitting) but i declare that is WRONG.

So you are something and admit its wrong. Interesting.

I am a Me-Supremacist.

See above.

Edit. Fuck. Whatever. You'll figure it out :)

But can't remember where I saw it/dig that article out anymore :(

Jesus Christ, shut up already

I'm not liberal, I don't think any race is better than any other - there are people in every race that are good, but many more of every race that are pieces of shit

You are, based on what you're saying here, a Chinese-Canadian piece of shit - for the benefit of Canada, I'll put u in the former bracket, as clearly you don't fit into the Canadian mindset of equality and acting in the best interest of your fellow Canadian

France has the largest population of Muslims in Europe - doesn't fit with their racist nation reputation... Definitely interesting

I don't see what everyone has their panties in a bunch for. He can think what he wants. Why be so sensitive to it? Who cares?

Yes its not ok to think thst your race is a superior race. That's what Hitler thought. That's what they thought in rwanda. Etc. Stop comparing people to cars. The fact that race is so important to you shows me you are insecure and hateful. People who lead happy fulfilling lives have better things to worry about than race. People who lose are those who think of their race as superior when they win and blame other races when they lose. Hence it is in fact sad to be you

I think Drow isn't properly wording his perspective very well. But I think he's coming from an angle of cultural pride if anything.

Cultural pride, no matter what race or geographical location, can easily be misrepresented as racism. For example, if a group of people (re: white Canadians) started a "white" cultural club (but really, its intentions was to promote Canadian pride) people would shit bricks.

StylinRed 05-19-2013 06:05 PM

yes pride in oneself and ones culture/nation is one thing, bigotry/racism another, but his wording is a mix of both i think he feels they're one in the same

bcrdukes 05-19-2013 06:06 PM

Yeah, I can't help him there. :fuckthatshit:

Xu.Vi 05-19-2013 06:13 PM

Ethnocentrism = belief of ones race/culture is superior to others.
Racism = usually a belief/movement to PROMOTE ones races'/culture superiority over another.

Correct me if i'm wrong

I concur, that is a possibility, however, this may be an optimistic perspective.

Comparing two sentences:

'As a Chinese-Canadian, I possess an intrinsic connection to Chinese culture, and thus it is naturally the one I appreciate greatest;

and

'i think chinese > all.'

The sentences share some synonyms (replacing > with greater) and ideas, but Drow's sentence is very distinct from the alternative sentence. Drow's english skills appear quite low, so that may explain the repeated error.

Overall, I think Drow meant exactly what he wrote, and DrunkRussian's post is outstanding example of the downfalls of that logic.
