What phones to get?

Currently using the Nexus4. Great phone overall but there are a few issue that I don't like about the phone.

Is not very loud. When I am on the bus or the sktyrain (anywhere noisy) the other person on the phone can't hear me at all, I have to pretty yell for the other person to hear.

The battery life isn't very good. I remember with my iphone 4 I can last a whole day (16hours+) and still have over 30% battery left. With the N4 without doing much just ideling ( check message maybe 3 to 4 times a time, sync off, listen to music maybe 30mins a day) with wifi off and by the end of 8hours i have about 48 to 50% battery left. With GPS and wifi on the phone can barely make it pass 9hours.......

Any suggestions for a good with longer battery life and maybe better call quality? I am thinking of the HTC One or the S4 from google. I could always wait till apple push out their iphone5S but I dbout it will be much of an improvement over the iphone5 since iphone5 have really shitty battery life. Or even a S3 since price have been dropping.

when you make a call try turning up the volume with the buttons on the side lol

try turning down your screen brightness. also install juicedefender app.

both methods save me battery life

Volume is on max currently. Sometimes skytrain/bus can get really noisy espeically the older style of skytrains and screen brrghtness is set to auto currently.

You can always give custom roms / kernel a try before switching!

Battery is a big difference and I think some kernel haz improved volume

I played around with the Huawei D1 Quad XL from Wind Mobile in January and the battery life was pretty good in my opinion. I had it sitting in my backpack for about a week, checking how much battery % was used up and it usually came down to 4-6% per day. I forgot if I had wifi or data toggled on. Just thought I'd share.

hi, I didn't want to make a new thread but i was wondering what phone should i get for my mom. She doesn't speak english and is very new to phones. I was thinking about getting her a iphone 4 any opinions. I'm planning to put her on wind.

Before you make any choices, I just want to say the iPhone 4 is not compatible on the Wind network.

If this is the case, don't get her a smart phone.

I bought my mom a smartphone and she has no idea what she's doing with it. I'd get her a basic phone that is compatible with Wind's network.

As someone else has said, wind does not have an iphone and does not support it.
