Hey Jessie, Infiniti g's are allowed to come play as well :)
We have opened up the event to everyone now that we are renting a track.
AMS Motorsports has jumped in for sponsorship, so you can expect some prize giveaways.
Maybe see you at the Pre meet on July 5th @ 12pm Oakridge mall.

For accommodation, some people are staying at motels/ hotels in Kelowna.
Myself, and Kaiju both have family cabins on Okanagan and Skaha lake and are more than happy to host some people...

Hey everyone, a few questions about what car are allowed and we are allowing all respectably built imports. If your proud of your project, then bring her down. We will have a number of RX-7's, Supras and other imports joining us. Please let us know on this forum list who is confirmed on coming. We have the main attendance list on GTRC (Western Canada Skymeet & Track day 2013) but id like to get a tandem one going here that we can add together. Ill start it off :) If you've already joined the attendance list on GTRC please do not add your name here. Thanks!

why is there no category for best nissan and best jdm import?

We could have added dozens of categories :P We just chose the one that would appeal to the largest audience and include all the vehicles involved.

can you just leave the catagorys blank, and then let the judges decide what your car should be judged as?

can we bring the registration and hand it in once we arrive in Kelowna? or is it needed prior?

Hey Guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, if you really don't have any idea of the applicable categories for your vehicle then just leave them blank and we will fill them in for you.

I would really prefer to have all of the registrations and monies sent prior to your arrival. The event is based on two separate days, Friday and Saturday. Friday is going to be a meet and greet for all import drivers from all across the Pacific Northwest, we have entries from Seattle, Alberta, and BC. It will be running from 4-10pm on Friday night, your registration cost of $20/person will get you in to Classified Motorsports for dinner, and will get you your guaranteed registration packages which include a dinner ticket, race number, a SkyMeet West decal and lanyard. Saturday we are leaving Kelowna from Classified at 8:30am to head out to Vernon Motorplex for 10am. From 10-12pm there will be entrance and registration to the track, tech inspection, and a car show. Judging for the prizes in the categories listed on the registration forms will take place then as well as just the general enjoyment of the vehicles and catching up with people from different areas, forums, and car clubs. Noon is when the racing will start, we will be there for quite a while from 4-5 hours so you will get time on the track, the track cost is separate and will be approximately $60 per vehicle to be paid at the track upon arrival. The racing will be head to head one lap around the track, in a knock out layout. Racing divisions will be RWD, AWD, FWD, and Highly Modified. After the champions are crowned we will be running head to head matches that are chosen by yourselves as long as there is time. After the racing is done, we will be awarding the winners of the racing divisions as well as the selected categories. From Vernon Motorplex we will be heading back to Kelowna via HWY 97 and stopping at the Vernon Lookout for some awesome pictures featuring all of your beautiful imports against the Okanagan backdrop. We are looking into getting a restaurant booked in Kelowna for those interested, but again we need some numbers to know which direction to head in. The more entries we have for the races the cheaper it will be per car. Let as many people know as you can! This is the only import designated track day in BC and we want to make it a success so that we can continue to offer this event. This event is sponsored by Classified Motorsports, AMS Motorsports, Spec Cluthes, Rayacom Kelowna, and GTRC. Lets make this a success boys!!

One more day everyone! The official 2013 Skymeet West is officially less then a day away!

REGISTRATION IS DUE.

Final hour to get in your $20 registration fee to rebecca@classifiedmotorsports.com. $20 for drivers and $10 for passengers. Drivers, this covers your registration package and BBQ, and for passengers this covers your BBQ. BBQ gets fired up at 6:30 and the shop is open for everyone at 4:00pm.

8:00am Saturday morning we meet at Classified Motorsports for a pre-track meet and at 8:30 were hitting the road to cruise down to Vernon for racing. Don't forget to inspect your car before leaving!! Battery must be tied down securely and all parts secured tightly on the interior too (Including audio). An questions about racing please ask NOW. It's your responsibility to have your car fit for racing :)
