If someone gets close to your car and you press the Panic alarm button... if they die from a heart attack or a similar complication, can you be held accountable and charged with murder? Was about to do it to someone brushing against my car while I was looking out a window from a short distance |
I'd just turn the alarm off and on again. The chirp and blinking lights should be enough to send a message. |
That situation isn't much different from a poorly calibrated or over-sensitive alarm system. Unless they can prove you had a mischievous intent and that you were pressing the panic button, it'd be a hard case. |
I would just arm it again so that they would get the hint |
charged with murder?? with this justice system?? not likely. |
Wow what a stupid thing to worry about. I'f someone was brushing up against my car to close and maybe suspiciously i'd have no problem letting it go off, car siren or TRAIN HORN!! |
Who's to say you used your remote to beep it? Posted via RS Mobile |
so someone dying because of you isn't your concern the concern is if you can go to jail over it....wow |

LOL can't tell if srs :suspicious: |
Not unless your panic alarm has something to do with your username + 47 Posted via RS Mobile |
Unless you have the subjective intent (mens rea) of actually wanting to kill someone - you can't be charged with murder... |
only if you have sound that can be moved |
brb turning off my car alarm |
Yes. My buddy's cousin's best buddy's brother in law's father was charged. Did hard time. |
I do it to people all the time and I think it's great... Posted via RS Mobile |
