I did do some math; aggregated fuel prices based on cities en route, my car's fuel economy, average speeds allowed on highways, twisties vs interstate...

Via US nets a $48 savings to have nearly 2 hours more driving. That and there is only one border crossing into SK that is open 24/7. The one I was planning on using is only open until like 5 pm or something. IDK if I want to have a time limit for reaching the border.

I feel so horrible for my cousin that lives in high river right now. I spoke to my dad and he lost everything, he wife and baby had to be air lifted off the roof and the worst part is he didn’t have flood insurance. At least they are safe but still, he is a woodworking teacher and built everything but hand including his kitchen table… Fucken sucks :(

I wouldnt be to surprise if they cancelled it this year.

Damn, that's some gnarly stuff. Our squadron dispatched 2 Cormorants today and yesterday to go help with the situation. I heard something about there being approximately 1500+ military personnel being deployed. I'm driving cross the country end of next month, we'll see how she's doing then.

I heard a lot of the pictures of prices are fakes. Like, photoshopping and people putting up their own prices on something, taking a picture, then removing it kind of thing. Not sure if true.
