Found out about Brake Dust Pro yesterday. Looks like a legit product. Did a search about BDP on RS and found it as a side topic here where someone said it may be caustic and stain your wheels. But I read up on their FB page and YouTube comments there seems to be nothing but good reviews. Their FB page even says the product has a neutral PH of 7 and works on all types of wheel surfaces dipped or undipped.

Dont think there is another touchless product like this on the market at the moment so I'm gonna order soon to test it out. Wonder how long the 32oz. is gonna last though. Judging from the usage in the video it seems like it would last 2-3 sets of wheels.

Any other cleaners you guys are using right now and would recommend?

I actually used BDP for the first time on a Jaguar XFR stock wheels in order to prep the wheels before dipping them yesterday.

BDP works amazing, dissolved most of the brake dust easily and with a garden hose I sprayed the wheels down. No damage to the wheels and no brake dust remained.

I can take a few pictures of it in action if you RS members would like - I'll be cleaning my dipped and undipped wheels later today.

check to make sure product is safe for painted wheels and or chrome wheels.

I don't trust it. I was gonna use break dust pro. I use auto glym custom wheel cleaner and it's Pretty good and can be diluted depending on how dirty your wheels is

Sonax full wheel effect is pretty good.
I use it on my Fikse and HRE wheels with anodize black dont have any problem.
Spay it on let it dissolve and wash it. Even cleans the calipers well also.

Currently testing BDP on my dipped wheels.

I don't remember the last time cleaning them.... or my car (I think I cleaned them weeks before the n00b meet :okay:)

I'll update with another picture later - after rinsing the wheels there's not a trace of any dirt or any brake dust.
My rims are actually matte black again :lawl:

where can u buy it?.

I think the cheapest place would be to buy on dipyourcar and then ship to Point Roberts because they don't ship to Canada.
Shipping is stupid expensive though. $14 for regular UPS shipping for a $20 bottle.
Maybe group buy?

Looks similar to Carpro IronX, clear liquid, turns purple, stanks like shit.

Must be from the same company? Anyone confirm?

I use Sonax Full Effect which is essentially the same thing. Good stuff :)

How about P21S wheel gel?
I'm thinking about stocking up on it.

They may seem similar, but they are not. Iron X is quite a bit stronger than Sonax and is meant to dissolve industrial fallout, rail dust and brake dust from your paintwork. It can be used on wheels. Sonax is made for wheels only and some good APCS will clean your wheels just as good.

P21S is a very safe, PH neautral wheel cleaner. It is not very strong so if you are in the habit of cleaning your wheels infrequently, you may want to seek out another wheel cleaner. If your wheels are factory clearcoated, there is no need to spend excessive money on wheel cleaners like Sonax or P21S. A good APC from Meguiars, Optimum or others will work just as well and save you a bunch of money. If you are running high end wheels like Volks which are coated or uncoated anodized, then P21S or Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaners are a good choice.

So Brake Dust Pro is similar to in strength to Iron-X?
