***urgent help*** how do I pry this pos off

Hey guys. Might be a long shot since its late but w.e
What can i use to pry this off? Its my brake switch... my brake lights stopped working all the sudden and I narrowed down the problem to be my brake switch internal needing a good cleaning... thanks

urgent because I need to drive to work in morning and I really dont want to risk vi with malfunctioning brake lights

Have you tried twisting it to break it loose? Maybe the end bit is held on by glue.

Generally speaking you replace brake switches, not repair them.

So that guy is too cheap to spend $30 to buy a new switch? For something as serious as your brake lights? What if you get rear-ended and the guy behind claims no brake lights? Then insurance does a routine investigation of your car and finds a mangled and obviously tampered with switch and you're found at fault.

I'm all for DIY, but I find this ridiculous.

well it was more of a temporary fix attempt so i could go to work in the am. but i gave up anyways
