^^werd, I just want to see how they conclude it but I don't look forward to it like I do for breaking bad

twitchyzero 09-19-2013 06:16 PM

this show will be forgotten if Dexter doesn't end up dead or in jail on Sunday

jeedee 09-19-2013 06:50 PM

Apparently the ending is weaksauce according to leaks

So....watch Dexter first then Breaking Bad :lol

Lomac 09-22-2013 08:02 PM

So... Series finale.

Thoughts?

Slifer 09-22-2013 08:47 PM

Ending was retarded

jeedee 09-22-2013 09:26 PM

lolwut

serial killer to lumberjack?

sam0m0 09-22-2013 09:28 PM

bad ending and glad this show is finally over

MarkyMark 09-22-2013 09:37 PM

Wow i'm glad this show is over, did all the good writers leave a long time ago or something?

Hey i'm gonna fake my death and leave my son with you k? Life as a lumberjack looks like it's working out for him. Why couldn't they just kill him.

Agreed.

This is a perfect example of bullshit HBO offering Dexter money to keep the series going. When it should have ended a lot earlier.

I pretty much only watched the last episode of this series because of how bad the plot was; there was just too many holes.

Seriously? Hey..I'm going to carry this dead body out to my boat...no one is going to stop or see me. Frustrating crap. I wanted to throw my glass at the TV.

And the ending? just wow. From a great television series to something that is pure crap now. Joke.

jeedee 09-22-2013 09:47 PM

Fuck this ending would've been so much better:

Chills! Former Dexter Producer Clyde Phillips Reveals How He Planned to End the Series | E! Online

Quote:

Clyde Phillips served as an executive producer and showrunner on Dexter in the early years, helping shape the series for its first four seasons until he decided to leave the show in late 2009, at the end of the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow) season, which ended with Rita's shocking death.

READ NOW: See how many Dexter fans wanted Dexter to die

I tracked down Phillips, who now serves as executive producer of Showtime's Nurse Jackie, and asked (OK, possibly begged) him to share what he had planned for the very end of Dexter...assuming he had one.

Turns out, he did have a very specific ending in mind, and it's possibly one of the best series-finale ideas I've ever heard.

"I haven't shared this with anyone," Philips told me. "And I can tell you that this is what I personally would have done should I have stayed with the show. I chose not to stay with the show, and so everybody did what they did, and I had no problem with that…and I think they did a good job with the final episode. But here is what I personally would have pitched."

SCOOP: Will there be a Dexter spinoff?

"In the very last scene of the series," Philips explained, "Dexter wakes up. And everybody is going to think, 'Oh, it was a dream.' And then the camera pulls back and back and back and then we realize, 'No, it's not a dream.' Dexter's opening his eyes and he's on the execution table at the Florida Penitentiary. They're just starting to administer the drugs and he looks out through the window to the observation gallery.

"And in the gallery are all the people that Dexter killed—including the Trinity Killer and the Ice Truck Killer (his brother Rudy), LaGuerta who he was responsible killing, Doakes who he's arguably responsible for, Rita, who he's arguably responsible for, Lila. All the big deaths, and also whoever the weekly episodic kills were. They are all there.

"That's what I envisioned for the ending of Dexter. That everything we've seen over the past eight seasons has happened in the several seconds from the time they start Dexter's execution to the time they finish the execution and he dies. Literally, his life flashed before his eyes as he was about to die. I think it would have been a great, epic, very satisfying conclusion."

hotshot1 09-22-2013 10:51 PM

Fuck, I knew it was gonna be shitty and it was. I too think that they should have just killed him.

I know for a show like this you have to suspend your beliefs but how the fuck did he survive driving into a storm which was strong enough to rip his boat to pieces? How did he even get there without anyone noticing? Did someone give him a free place to live out of generosity? And WTF happened to the old cast members... Batista, Quinn, Masuka, etc.? There was no closure. Oh I get it, they didn't think anything through and just wanted to finish the series.

It's probably the best example ever of a TV show that went from must watch to shit.

twitchyzero 09-22-2013 11:00 PM

i also envisioned Dexter in the electric chair in the finale
i'll just forget what i watched today and remind myself that's how the show actually ended :okay:

MikeyStyle 09-22-2013 11:02 PM

not an ending I was expecting.. nor was it satisfying

:yuno::yuno: season finale

white rocket 09-23-2013 08:10 AM

meh, pretty lame. but so was this season really.

NKC ONE 09-23-2013 09:05 AM

Man after reading all these shitty comments, i'm not sure if I actually want to watch the grand finale. I've been following season 1-5 when it was actually good then I jumped straight to this season knowing it would be the last one. I skipped the middle ones for obvious reasons. This lumberjack bullshit really ain't gonna cut it for me and I'm glad I read it before watching it. At least to me, this show was still good as I absorbed mostly the early seasons and I can leave a sweet taste in my mouth.

6793026 09-23-2013 10:21 AM

a vegetable? really???????????

ending was certainly shit. i don't think they would kill him off esp. u never know what's going to happen (in reference to 24 and jack bauer being revived etc).

wingies 09-23-2013 11:31 AM

it actually hurts to see what the series has become over the years. Although this season wasnt even as bad as the last one, the gay russian gangster or whatever? The nerdy dude who was stalking dexter just to get his ass capped? God I would only recommend the first 4 seasons to whoever wants to watch

jeedee 09-23-2013 08:16 PM

Isn't he battling cancer? A colleague of mine said if his cancer is in remission, they may bring a spin-off version back?

Plausible or Busted?
