Have you seen the youtube comments section of any random video? It is pretty much the anus of the internet.

I watched a recipe video yesterday, and people were complaining about the way he said "eating"

I have a video with about 350K views, and every day I am notified of comments that are the most asinine, annoying comments you can imagine.

Imagine what kind of feedback he would have gotten on 4chan or even bb.com... On reddit this would probably be posted in /r/cringe. Compared to most of the internet, RS isn't harsh at all.
