I was invited by my Infiniti saleman to do an early sneak peak on this car a while back as I have been a good customer (referred him a few other clients). Although he said I was the second customer in Ontario to actually test drive the car, with all the people going in and out of dealership, I had my doubts. :fuckthatshit: Anyway, I dropped by after work that day and I can say that except the weird naming scheme, the Q50 is better than G37 in every imaginable sense. The new touch-based central console is really cool. It almost feels like using an iPad to control your car and the new navigation system is lightyear ahead of their current crappy version. (and they had the ball to ask 3k for that option) In term of performance, I felt the gas pedal is more responsive and overtaking cars on QEW felt a lot smoother than the G37. The interior didn't feel much change, but I think I like the seat better than the one on G37 too. All in all, I thought it was a nice car. Can't wait to see the Coupe version. |
maybe you saw a press car. but the mazda6 and q50 do look so similar. especially from the back. will be hard to tell them apart on the road...maybe. :fulloffuck: |
I'm 100% sure it was a Q50. Especially with the Infiniti logo on the grill. |
I still hate the new Q naming. It's dumb fucking stupid. What does Q50 mean? and why 50? and no 10, 20, 30 or 40? and why not Q5 or Q500? This makes no sense. https://pictures.dealer.com/j/jdpowe...bde1b70ed2.jpg |
the G37 sedan looks heavy and dated this looks modern and athletic...esp the front fascia |

I saw a base model in person at the coquitlam dealership a month or so ago. Base price is 37k I believe. Fucking nice car for that kind of coin. I agree with the center console, really nice. |
Sexy car, I'll get one if I'm looking for a sedan ! |
Really does look identical to the new Mazda6. I'll take a G37 sedan instead Posted via RS Mobile |
