Is there a reason why Cressida's are such popular cars for car thieves?

I'm sure there's a market for some of the specific parts, but it's not just the Cressida -anything Toyota made in the late 70's and 80's can basically be opened by anything. My friend's 86 pickup could be opened by 3 of the 10 or so keys on my keychain. His Supra could be opened up by a pointy thin scissor, etc.

IMO, they're only stolen for 2 reasons:

1. People who know what's in/on the car, so they can use parts for theirs

2. Lazy car thieves that want to get from A -> B

For the OP's sake, I hope it's the latter and you get your car back soon.

BTW was this the same one that was getting fenders rolled a few weeks ago in Ridge, when I dropped by to buy wheels?

Where in metro were you parked? Over 70% of metro's lots have cameras now, I would definitely ask security to see if they have footage.

It was parked outside in front of Sears, the cop actually went in and talked to security to see if there were any cameras.

And no it wasn't me getting my fender's rolled.

Sorry to hear dude. I had my x7 get stolen for the stereo a couple year back, ended up selling after the rcmp found it in mission. And Ya, they are easy to steal, the locks/ignition just get worn out and makes it a thieves dream..

Hope you get her back man.

P.s. ICEBOY, both slammed white mx73’s from maple ridge are still good.
