Admission into SFU

Hey guys, wondering if anyone knows which faculty has the lowest GPA required to get into SFU... Back story essentially is that I fucked around too much at langara for the past few years and now that i want to transfer into SFU, my GPA might be too low for me to enter. I'm currently sitting at a meager 2.56, with two courses this semester looking to bump me up to 2.65, which is still a bit shy of the 2.7 that is required from me for the two faculties i chose (Sociology and Criminology). I was hoping to jump in on the faculty with the lowest GPA requirement for one semester and then transfer into what i really want. So whats my chances of getting into SFU guys?

TL;DR

which faculty has the lowest GPA required so i can get into that faculty then jump ship?

According to their site, health science and environment require minimum 2.5 and that's the lowest from all faculties

transfer into another program (hsci, enviroment etc.), start taking courses from crim/sociology. work up that gpa => transfer into those faculty. what you mentioned would work, once u get in the faculty, gpa is no longer a concern unless upper level courses.

Why didn't you apply to UBC?

^Assuming he wants to get into a Criminology program which isn't offered at UBC

I was facing the same issue and they said an average is 2.6 - 2.7 but likely under average is accepted as well!

when you say your GPA will be around 2.65 is that taking into account of the .3 deduct from transfering from a College?

Hey guys, first of all thanks for the replies! i think ill be applying for the spring semester going into health science or environment then, since i doubt ill be getting into the fall semester now lol.

@ zoidberg: i wouldnt have minded UBC, but then i failed two courses and it would drag my GPA even lower than 2.56 lol

@grapedrink: i had heard about that, but when i called up to SFU admissions and i asked the nice lady on the phone she said theres nothing like that? :S
