^ I'm pretty sure its just the foglight that he changed.

foglights beam pattern is wide and low not really designed to illuminate far into the distance, what you see is probably more glare then anything.

Like HID bulbs, I would never put an LED bulb into a halogen (or even a xenon) housing. LED bulbs have multiple light sources, meaning the housing design needs to be specific for that bulb. As well, SMD bulbs need special heat sinks or a fan in the housing to help dissipate the heat created at the base.

How much for 9005 and 9006 setup?

Overseas Auto1 09-12-2013 01:55 PM

Right now $150 a pair. They are not as good as HID, in the brightness department but the same color.

LOl, yes just the fog lights. In regards to glare, it is nothing compared to HID's.

And once again, the LED fog lights actually do something now. The OEM weak halogen bulbs couldn't light anything up when my low beams are on.

We have a new PIAA LED Fog light and Driving Light. We have one on display. You need to come to see it.

I assume you lose the function of high beam with LEDs?

It depends on what you have for a light to begin with. We have a small rectangular sealed beam that has 2 stages to it. Some LED headlights have several sections that light up for high or low beam.

Saw some really sweet LED fixtures retrofitted into a Jeep JKU, put out fantastic light... also ran the guy over $800 for the set. You get what you pay for.
