bumping this thread since it'll probably get more traffic here and I need an answer asap
I know having illegally tinted windows when going for your road test is not allowed but has anyone actually brought their vehicle in and the examiner said no, it's not safe? I have a friend who wants to trade cars for the day because his vehicle has tinted windows and his check engine light is on
Not sure if anyone has actually been turned down for either of those items, but I will re-affirm that, yes those are both reasons for the examiner to decline the vehicle for a road test. If the examiner notices them and cares, they can decline the road test.
