HELP: broken led on macbook air

Basically, I replaced the broken lcd and i dont remember whether or not the led was working before. It won't light up now though. the new screen works but i just dont have light behind it.

any help would be appreciated. ive been googling and trying stuff but nothing seems to work.

Guess you'll just have to take it apart again and check. The backlight should be on when the screen is on.

macbook air A1370

im still trying to figure out how to get the damn LED strip to go on. vancouver laptop repair quoted me 400+ to fix it. No way in hell im gonna do that.

any help would be great.
