yes. someone i know who bought a jdm delica that he imported from japan has a double din head unit with a full lcd display that had a tv tuner built in with antennas in the back hatch glass... however it dosen't pick up any channels here :(

Europe has had this for awhile now. All the upper end German cars have it like the A6 and up, 5-series and up and probably E-class and up. My cousins oversea can watch TV while in the car but only when the car is stationary I think. Wifi and mobile data is dirt cheap over there tho. I paid 20 euros so basically $30 CAD for 6GB mobile data/wifi. Basically a rocketstick/hotspot that can connect up to 5 devices with LTE speeds and they have cell service everywhere, no deadspots.

When I read the title of this thread my first thought was "Oh good grief, one more thing to distract drivers... awesome."

...However there are some very good points being made about phones & data plans already existing so now I'm not sure it'll have that much impact.

It is sad though that the places we can go to 'get away' from being "connected" are getting harder to find.
