One of the nicest exhaust note from the 318 I'd heard. What kinda muffler is it?

Lomac 09-28-2013 10:33 PM

Tell Jason to post a picture of his new 5L project.

;)

It sounds like you used poo instead of oil in your engine. Did that happen?

Hi thanks it is a Magnaflow

MagnaFlow Exhaust Products - For Trucks, Suv's, American Muscle, Diesel, & Sport Compact Vehicles

The difference when you floor it is like night and day like it added a turbo I think it is because the stock muffler was like 50lbs AND it was wery wery quiet, like for huntin' wabbits!

OP, in case you're 16 or haven't hit puberty yet, throwing around meaningless power figures and trying to be cool by saying things like "tork" and "shit kit" won't get you any of the respect you yearn for. Just my two cents. You own a slow car, face it. There's nothing wrong with owning a slow car at all, but when you're trying to justify how fast your slow car is, all you're doing is making yourself look like a fool.

And everyone laughed at him.

Click the link to the video. It goes to Lowell Foo's YouTube page who happens to be one of the guys at Racing Greed. Despite the intentions of the OP (whoever it may be,) this car is a sleeper. Listen to the exhaust. You think it's crap but it certainly is 5.0L under the hood. Lomac caught it (or knows the guy. JasonS2000?)

lmao auto noob

let me guess you still live at home, you're probably a virgin, and you don't have a car over 200 hp

westopher 09-29-2013 06:34 AM

It still sounds terrible, but a 318i sleeper is pretty cool. Consider me tricked.

hk20000 09-29-2013 07:48 AM

Lol 5l swap. You have made quite an entry multicartual. I knew that no amount of exhaust can make a 318i sound like that.

4444 09-29-2013 08:44 AM

With all due respect, a foxbody 5L swap, still won't be that interesting.

I appreciate the 318 is a relatively light car, but your average sedan nowadays has 300+hp, 250+ ft-lb torque, and with it being an auto (unless it's an aftermarket set up), that will be a bit of a k9, relative to new cars.

I love people who do projects like this, as it will surprise some people... But coming on here and being a douche about it just makes you look like a prat.

can't wait for you to try and egg me on to race... Then... We... Can... Drive like responsible adults because street racing is beneath Neanderthal level.

yeah I'll see how it sounds in person, maybe I'll switch to a Borla or something, maybe add a resonator?

It is actually a 50 series Flowmaster 3" single in/single out

My plan is to properly do the suspension, stance the car, and learn how to drive it. Once I can drive the balls off it at low power, then I'll add more

It is a 5-speed as well

320icar 09-29-2013 09:06 AM

"Stance the car"??? Jesus Christ are you actually 16?
