as i mentioned in the other thread how does this stop thieves who simply change the imei #? its illegal to change imei's but what does a thief care about that |

I don't think this is really aimed at the hardcore groups of thieves... this is more of a preventative measure for those who simply see a phone left unattended and decide to jack it in order to make a quick buck. None of this will really deter thieves, however, if people buying used phones don't have it checked out by a service provider before handing over a handful of cash. |
There's a lot of T-Mobile phones with bad IMEI on eBay, so they won't work in Canada now too? |
