UBCSCC - AutoX Slush Series - Oct 12

UBC Sports Car Club would like to welcome anyone and everyone to our annual SLUSH SERIES!

We offer competitive Auto-X racing for anyone from a first time Novice to our Top-Gun class. If you have ever thought about Auto-X but are still unsure, feel free to come out and test the water.

The first event will be held Saturday Oct 12 at Pitt Meadows airport.

If you would like to know more, please visit UBCSCC.com or post below

Hi, I was just wondering; I heard the UBCSCC events requires memberships? Or are these Slush AutoX events open to anyone? (You sorta answered in your post, but thought I'd confirm just in case)

If so, do we just drop by and pay on the spot? How much is it?

Thanks in advance!

I wanted to participate in the summer AutoX, but was told the last Corvette Club event was for members only so I couldn't go ;( These winter events sound great though, considering I only have All-Season Tires at the moment ;p

EDIT: Oops, sorry. I forum from the link you posted. If I'm currently not a member, I can pay 5$ to be a "day member" and then pay the regular Fee for the event and participate?

Hi PuYang, anyone and everyone is allowed to come to UBCSCC events. You are also correct about needing to have either a yearly membership or the option of a day membership for $5. All registrations are online and close the day before the event at 10pm.

Cool thank you! I'll definitely come out to one of these events. (Will miss this one due to work).

I'm interested in driving in an event.

Apart from having your own vehicle, what do I need?

Helmet, and....?
What is a good affordable helmet?
What is the price to drive in an event?

Thank you

TheGrassHopper 12-05-2013 11:45 PM

UBCSCC can provide helmets if you would like to borrow one for the day, however if you really get into the sport most people will quickly find themselves looking for a personal helmet.

Single Pad events are $35
Double pad events (most common recently) are $45 for earlybird registration and $55 regular

The next event will be held on Jan 12th, 2014 and will be a double pad event

That sounds great! I REALLY want to attend and I'll try to get some friends to attend as well!

I'll be contacting you soon.

January 12? I'd come but not interested in driving the course on Pizza cutter winters... Too cold for summer too :/

Sent out an email, thanks!
