How do I replace this?
 

Hello everyone. So recently my car got broken into and the theif was as amateur as can be so he dented the metal part that seperates the weather rubber moulding and the glass. I've unscrewed it and it seems like it goes all the way down the door. Pics will be uploaded when I get home, thanks!
EDIT: for those that don't know what I'm talking about, it's comparable to that small black area that seperates the corner window from your glass (in sedans, etc)

It's the tiny piece between the triangle and the side window. Not the belt moulding. Tried to pry that thing off today with no success

I bet a body shop would tell you how to replace/fix it

are you referring to a belt moulding?

sell the car, it's a write-off. It will never be the same.

You'll be driving down the highway, hit a bump, bam there goes your transmission. You want that headache? Just sell it .

this is just a suggestion but perhaps try going to an independent auto glass company instead of a dealer and get an estimate for the repairs or see if they are willing to tell you what needs to be done to fix it. when i got my side window replaced the labor at speedy auto glass in burnaby was almost $200 less than what the dealer quoted me (but i brought my own glass that i had pulled myself from a wrecking yard)

I may plan on doing that if I can't DIY it. I went to Broco for my glass since dealerships overcharge so much for my car.

Lol, so it's bad news. I can explain how it's done on my miata, not sure if its the same process.

1. Remove window cranks and arm rests
2. Remove speakers/electronics
3. Remove the door card
4. *carefully* remove the vapour barrier
5. Roll the window half height and remove the bolts that hold it on the "tray" that raises and lowers it on the crank
6. *carefully* remove the window and set down on a blanket/ towel
7. Remove the weather stripping (it either slides on or you can "peel" it off and stuff it back in after"
8. Remove the screws from behind the door that hold on the vertical track (blank trim)

I bet you it's not the same, but that's how it was for me. Maybe google how all the e30 guys do it when they switch all their trim to shadow line

Looking through some diagrams for the prelude, looks like you are going to need to place the whole rubberized glass run chanel.
For this it looks like you will need to remove the door panel and glass.
You should be able to just pull back the rubberized run channel. It's held in by just the rubber being wedged in the door itself.

I've noticed that too, but when I was pulling the part out of a donor car, it looks like the glass actually runs down the thing.
