if you compare the new Escalade and Suburban, GM tried so hard to differential both models. It IS a box, that's for sure, but what else could do to a SUV. If you check out the BMW 3 series wagon, they also look the same over the years. Not a fan of the Escalades due to the 'lifestyle' they represent and the in your face bling.. though I like the GMT900 based Yukon Denalis. Has 90% of luxury (captain seats in the rear are god sent for roadtrips). They're also good for towing. The lesser Yukons/Tahoe's with the 5.3 cylinder deactivation makes for a decent hwy cruiser/towing rig. Too bad they never offered the Duramax HD/Allison tranny on the 1500 series trucks. |
