It was crazy how quickly Holm gets into trouble when that TDD fails her.

Hope he is a good little money saver lol

Mcgregor isn't going anywhere. Although, i don't think we'll see him at 170 again. He looked fantastic in the first round though. I guess he kinda gassed himself a bit. He'll be back stronger.

Nightmare night for Dana. lol

I think he really wanted the rematch of Holm/Rousey.
Connor losing is just self explanatory.

What you guys think? Is Conor going to be able to maintain his stardom? Or will he just fade into oblivion?

You're insane if you think that... This was really a low risk high reward situation for him. Short notice opponent 2 weight classes above his last fight. Win the fight, you beat a good, name opponent who is bigger and has longer reach. Lose, and you lost against a name opponent who is bigger and has a longer reach.

The "hype train" was real, and he attempted to ride it to the moon. Why not right? Make as much money as you can while you can. This loss slowed it down a bit, but I highly doubt it will stop. Even if he starts losing at 155 he can still rule the 145 division again. Will he be as big a star as he was yesterday? I doubt it, but he won't be 'fading into oblivion' until the UFC itself does.

MarkyMark 03-05-2016 09:23 PM

Or he loses at 155 and 145 back to back.

jonwon 03-05-2016 09:24 PM

Dana gonna be choked. Conor hype train derailed and no more Holm vs. Rousey 2

I'm confused on how you think it's low risk? I'd say its pretty risky fighting 2 weight classes above on short notice....

Low risk as in if he loses (like he did), not much happens with his career. He will still get the big fights at 145 and 155. 170 is just not for him. Life moves on

Low risk in terms of consequences of losing

Highest risk would be losing the belt to a 145er... Up from there you have losing to Frankie, etc... Losing to Nate Diaz is probably the best case if he's going to lose to someone. It doesn't affect anything at 155 and 145, and it allows him to test the waters at 170 which obviously won't work out.

cunninglinguist 03-05-2016 10:02 PM

Conor might not do well at 155. Remember, Nate usually fights at 155 and number 5 ranked. He might have to cut cut cut and beat smaller guys.

SkinnyPupp 03-05-2016 10:02 PM

Oh I guess Nate's hand was okay :troll:

Manic! 03-05-2016 10:05 PM

Post fight presser starting soon.

cunninglinguist 03-05-2016 10:11 PM

Joe Lauzon is a genius and called it again. Said Conors weight gain will affect his cardio.

Manic! 03-05-2016 11:06 PM

It looks like it's red boxer/brief night for Bryan Caraway. LOL!!!!

SkinnyPupp 03-06-2016 02:26 AM

I laughed out loud at that one... Miesha is growing on me 4Head

GLOW 03-06-2016 06:09 AM

i was hoping nate 'n tate both got submission wins :fullofwin:

dat awkward silence when goldberg randomly mentions rousey's name :inoutugh:

neggo 03-06-2016 09:01 AM

I'm still pretty torn Conor lost. :okay:

SkinnyPupp 03-06-2016 09:13 AM

If you missed the post fight press conference, this is basically whatt he said there too. Don't feel too bad, I think if anything this gave him the tools and motivation to be able to beat RDA when they do fight eventually [if RDA is still champion when Conor is done beating up some midgets ;)]

RRxtar 03-06-2016 10:30 AM

i actually think this will help conor earn more fans. it will hurt his mystique being able to beat anyone at any weight class, but how humble he was after the fight will earn some fans.

i've said for a while i was waiting for a loss to humble him a bit so i could become a fan. am one now.

im worried if he goes back to 145 and frankie puts him on his back tho.

MarkyMark 03-06-2016 11:02 AM

Conor meant it when he says he's humble in victory and defeat. Shows up to the post presser, gives interviews... He won't get nearly as much hate as Ronda and rightfully so.

knight604 03-06-2016 11:08 AM

Moving up 2 weight classes and expecting a swift and quick victory , please....

MarkyMark 03-06-2016 11:12 AM

If it goes straight to Meisha vs Ronda next I'm gonna throw up

RRxtar 03-06-2016 11:22 AM

get your puke bag ready

UFC 196: Dana White says Miesha Tate will defend title against Ronda Rousey - Bloody Elbow

It really should be Holmes VS Rousey because they are both coming off losses.
