Walmart Shelves Cleared During Food Stamp Panic Walmart Shelves Cleared During Food Stamp Panic Description:When the federal EBT food stamp system suffered a critical failure on Saturday, local retailers were disconnected from the federal food stamp database that keeps track of how much credit is left on each individual EBT card. Seizing the opportunity provided by the glitch, EBT card holders in Louisiana ransacked their local Wal-Mart stores, stuffing their shopping carts full of groceries and "paying" for them with near-empty EBT cards that essentially had unlimited account balances because all accounting was offline. EBT Food Stamp System Crash: "How Am I Going to Feed My Family?" A food computer glitch during this government shutdown? It sure does sound like a test for how people would react if all types of benefits were cut. If welfare was cut here tomorrow, I wonder what kind of disorder would unfold. |
Good on those people, at least its things those people need. I don't feel bad for the government at all. |
The EBT was only down for a matter of hours. Those people complaining that they can't feed their families, they can't buy one meal without assistance?? |
It looks like WalMart will be covering the costs on this snafu |
Walmart pays no real tariffs or taxes... it a parasitic NWO government institution that has ruined the Americas. Quote:
I believe veteran cheques are also being delayed. |
I feel for the individuals who do truly rely on food stamps to live. I can understand the frustration, albeit I don't exactly understand the system or what happened to lead to its failure. But does anyone else feel that the lady in the second video should not have brought 6 kids into this world if she couldn't feed them? |
Sure, but I think the system thrives on cheap labour through people in poverty and immigrants and to only have them die early of health complications from the poor quality (and tainted) food that is available for them. |

She was raised by a single mother, and knows that lifestyle. **edit, sorry, I re-read this, and wow that's rude. I'm changing it to being assumed. Was the education system present that correctly informs her of how her own reproductive system works? Who knows. Did she have access to birth control? And heaven forbid, did she have access to safe and accessible abortion if unfortunately she was left in a situation of unplanned pregnancy? Unfortunately, you can't always put that blame on the person. Yes, they made their choices, but there are SO many societal factors at play. The US is so fundamentally flawed in how its basic society works. For so many, it really is a matter of heaven forbid you aren't white. |
