AMMO?

Hey guys, just registered a while ago. As the title states, does anyone have any experience with AMMO NYC products? Larry does a lot of popular youtube videos, and his methods seem pretty convincing.

I love it how he carefully explains everything to you.

His vids convinced me to order a PC 7424XP with some CCS pads this weekend. Also ordered some spray wax and tire mud from his shop, will arrive sometime in december through a friend living in the states.

From what I hear, his products are some of the best out there. Personally, I think his products are a little overpriced for what you get. You can get great results using Meguiar's or Mothers, plus you can buy them here locally.

If I were to chose any product from Larry, AMMO hydrate would be the most useful one.

The SKIN product is awesome, I've put 2 layers of wax and the shine is crazy. I just ordered the QD.

Ken from maple ridge sells a wide variety of detailing products as well .

I once heard people saying 90% is the prep. such as cleaning , clay baring and polishing the paint surface and then the rest of 10% will be the wax / sealant to enhance the perfect paint.

meme405 10-29-2013 10:31 PM

If prep is 90 percent, then polishing by itself is 60 percent...

I agree with ya :) and then the rest of 10 % is your choice of wax. I have used meguiar ; Collinite ; Autoglym and Zymol. I eventually picked AUtoglym for summer and Collinite for winter .

Considering ordering some skin myself, how often do you usually need to reapply it?

Harvey Specter 10-31-2013 02:31 PM

Depends how many layers you want. I've done two so far, might do a third coat. I'll snap some pictures when I apply the third coat.

I was looking at this, anyone know if this is available locally? or must be ordered online?

kkthind 12-19-2013 04:27 PM

is $65 worth it for the ammo skin?

gn02156668 12-22-2013 06:21 PM

I have read some review and ppl said they are good. However, at the end of the day, you are the one who will use it, so it is up to you to decide. IIMO, If I could afford it, I would love to try something new =)

Was on the site today and was thinking about buying some products. They use a flat rate of $38 for shipping I believe.
