Cost to replace a bumper

Hi guys,

I was in a fender bender a few weeks ago and ICBC is trying to claim against me $1500 worth of damages for the other car. The car is an 09 ford escape, and the only thing that might need replacing is the front bumper.

It seemed a little exorbitant for a bumper replacement(if that) to cost that much. I am just a newbie into cars and was wondering if this sounds like an accurate price.

Sounds about right say $450 for the part, $200 for removal and installation, $400 for paint, tax and maybe a few other small parts it can add up quickly.

it cost me 3g for an 04 crv rear bumper, i got the bill and its all about the shop hours put in.

2/3 of the bill cost was labour

1500$ sounds reasonable
