Ugly rims, plus too small for wheel arches.

punkwax 11-06-2013 08:07 AM

Agree on the rims and the diving board on the back is a bit much. Otherwise, I think it looks good!

BBMme 11-06-2013 08:32 AM

But the engine bay is beautiful

FerrariEnzo 11-06-2013 08:38 AM

that engine bay is HUGE!

Tr1ll 11-06-2013 08:41 AM

Reminds me of a 7th Gen Accord Coupe

Geoc 11-06-2013 08:53 AM

Wonder if the engine is a carbureted push-rod iron block?

cranker625 11-06-2013 08:54 AM

I agree with the tiny wheels in the abyss of wheel arches.
Probably designed by them 'Muricans.

But then those are some very low profile tires :P
I thought it should have slightly meatier tires because racecar?

SpeedStars 11-06-2013 09:48 AM

Realized its a coupe...wondering why the hell didn't they make one considering they had one in 1997~

jing 11-06-2013 09:50 AM

^ How many Solaras do you see on the road? That'll answer your question.

Well NASCAR went to fuel injection last year, plus you can see the fuel injector rails in the picture...

xpl0sive 11-06-2013 10:10 AM

looks like the V8 out of the new Tundra... TRD valve covers. it's sure not an LS motor

xpl0sive 11-06-2013 10:14 AM

sounds like a nascar

thumper 11-06-2013 12:10 PM

imagine if this had a bone stock exterior (preferably brown) and hub caps... and this would have been the ultimate ($299.9k) sleeper.

!Aznboi128 11-06-2013 12:52 PM

um... looking at the build it's quite interesting, they started off with the solara then added camry panels, and interior.

It's not a production engine, it's purpose built race engine. Pushrod v8, nothing in common with anything Toyota makes. That said no nascar engines are production based.

Also is this the same rk sport that made body kits for cavaliers and sun fires back in the day?

if only that was Lexus IS or the RC that would be sick..

Cman333 11-06-2013 04:28 PM

Quite bad ass for a Camry. Wow.

the new nascar engines are fuel injected... i believe the went to FI in 2012 or 2011. obviously the engine is detuned too cause the nascar ones make around 900 hp and rev to about 9500 rpm.

twitchyzero 11-06-2013 08:20 PM

looks like something you'll find out of a Import Tuner exclusive from the early 2000's
sounds fantastic

frotes_88 11-07-2013 07:18 PM

I assume from the engine orientation this is rear wheel drive?

CP.AR 11-07-2013 07:21 PM

This is still the ultimate camry for road use
sleeper much
no hands steering included of course

thumper 11-08-2013 04:37 AM

^ i don't know how to read dyno results... why are the torque/hp curves so jagged?

!SG 11-08-2013 05:17 AM

throw a baby seat in the back, and your good to go!

imagine going down the 1/4 mile, and your toddler in their baby seat in the back seat gives them the thumbs up as you pass them

the awkwardness of the moment...
