Newbie needs help
 

Hi there

My friend gave me a rooted Nexus 4 with Cyanogemod on it. After I downloaded the update of 10.2-20131102-snapshot-m1-mako, my google play is dead not working. so I uninstall google play from my phone. Now I need your expertise.

Since I am a newbie to rooting. Can someone shed me some light how to fix my google play with steps by steps instructions ?

Please help.

relock, un root your phone.. update offical rom.. reunlock, re-root your phone and profit

You should probably install the stable version of cyanogenmod instead of the M snapshot version.

Btw, if you want a trouble free experience with the N4, just restore it back to the original ROM.

One more thing. If you just need to reinstall the play store, find the apk and install it like any other app.

May I know where I can download a google play store apk format for my android 4.3 ?

factory restore it.. everything restores back to original factory settings... otherwise you will need to find the apk.. warez site?

Or you can just install the gapps for CM

Honestly restoring back to factory settings is probably your best bet for a smooth android experience.

Finally I did have a chance to install Google Play Store 4.4.21 Apk back to my phone but when I double click on the ply store icon, I just got the following error
message, please help:

this is because your version of Play doesnt jive with the version of Android.

i had to DL an old version of play. unfortunately i cannot remember where i got it.

lmao... just go into recovery and do factory reset.. problem solved...
