did play it, then got bored really fast and deleted it.

I'm ridiculously addicted. Got a clan with a couple friends that somehow ballooned to 40 members

Town Hall 6, level 44.

Been resource raiding with 1/3 barbs, 2/3 archers.

lvl 9 th on my ipad and also another account on my iphone... lvl 75 on each...

got really bored as things cost way too much and it takes a week or so to upgrade each thing... u need to spend cash on gems now, fuck that game

TH 8 level 75. Brutal wait times. I just farm when a builder frees up for a couple hours until I can afford next upgrade.

Other than that I log in just to donate troops

yeah i stopped the farming, got way too tedious for me... Have better things to do lol

Yea TH 8 is where you can't live off your resourses production anymore. Things are to expensive and you get raided and lose whatever you've earned from your collectors. So it's either farm or gem.

So best advice is to stop playing now. Haha.

I'm at TH 5 at the moment.

TH 5 is alright and is fun if you have a good clan and get good troops in your CC. Makes a world of difference. The magic spot for farming is between 1100 and 1500 trophies.

also might consider farming layout so people might take your town hall and leave you alone

Yup don't bother protecting your TH. No point. Leave it exposed and you get a free shield from the TH poachers.

What's your guys typical army makeup? I build 16 giants, 8 wallbreakers, 1 healer, 1 dragon, 10 minions and the rest archers. Strat is pick off air defence deploy healer behind giants and use Wally's to make a path to the defensive weapons. Once I get a few destroyed I start with the archers and minions. Dragon is only used as a last resort usually.

since my TH is only lvl 6 I usually have 3 wall breakers, 20 archers 20 golbins and rest are giants(usually I have 17 gaints). I am thinking this time I will try 20 golbins 10 gaints and 2 wall breakers and rest archers.

Ok here is the most important thing I can stress. Do NOT upgrade your TH until you have nothing left to upgrade. Walls excluded.

There are rewards and penalties associated with TH level. If you attack TH lower than you, a loot penalty is incured. If you attack a TH above you, you get reward bonus. Therefore if you upgrade your TH to fast you can't farm because your troops are weak and your being penalized by attacking the only TH levels your capable of defeating.
