Just hand the case over to icbc/police and give them all the info you know, let them take it from there. If your cousin care about you, he would not have put you in this position. You did nothing wrong turning him in as he was the one that did it. Why ruin your record if you didn't do it. Some job requires a clean driving record.

so this whole fiasco has finally been resolved, the tickets r removed from me and redirected to him (my cousin), for anyone that missed the whole story, i will retell the whole story and the outcome, it will be an extremely long read

the first part
Spoiler!

the second part
Spoiler!

so basically after everything, he is admitting to the police that it was actually him driving, and not admitting to me that it was him driving and that he is ONLY admitting to it on behalf of his exgf because of the inconvenience this is causing me... i am fking furious with him, but whatever, i have 1 less cousin now. he got off too easy as the officer said he does not have any criminal records and that this was a one time thing so he should not be doing it again, and also he was cooperating so the officer did not want to go further with charges.

this is fking pathetic, cause now he will explain to anyone, especially amongst relatives, who asks abt this that he is only doing this as a favor for me, making him look like the good guy n me the bad guy. but i believe in karma so eventually something will catch up to him and screw him over

Your cousin sounds like a pathetic piece of shit... Blames it on you to the cops, then blames his fucking GIRLFRIEND when you confront him. What a loser. Someone said earlier that "family = destroyed"... maybe not, but cutting his part of the family off seems like it would be a good idea.

why would you not call him out on it -.-

You can pick your friends but you can't pick your relatives. However, you can pick how you deal with them. I'd be erasing this jerk from my Christmas card list if he was in my family.

Good job doing the right thing, not worth taking the blame for someone as immature as your cousin.
