its not completely irrelevant.. theyre both m3's.
i bet these new ones wont sound as great as the s65 v8

Mr.Stubbz 12-11-2013 01:56 PM

damn, that m3 looks mean as fuck, i really like how they made the "power bulge" look better and not like a teenager trying to hide a hard-on in his pants.

Not to hate on the e90 m3 mind you, i know dem bmw fans are a fickle bunch

Dragon_27 12-11-2013 03:09 PM

bmw has done it again, gorgeous. those tail lights aren't leds though?

jpark 12-11-2013 03:44 PM

^they always do that with their first gens, from E46,E60,E9x, 1 series etc. the LCI's always get led upgrade. I guess its their marketing strategy

Akinari 12-11-2013 04:15 PM

Man the M4 looks absolutely insane :sweetjesus:

soysauce 12-11-2013 04:35 PM

The laguna seca color scheme looks completely sick.

The "power bulge" was incorporated into the hood due to the V8s size. The new hood bulge looks to be for aesthetics than anything else since the engine fits without clearance issues.

i know, but i feel like they could've designed it better, seemed more like a "oh shit, the engine is too big, quick lets add a bubble in the bonnet so it fits" ya know?

JoshuaWong 12-11-2013 05:44 PM

As I thought when the new F10 M5 came out, it would be a dream come true to have the new M4 body & chassis + the old V8 in one package :okay:

maybe he thought S65 as in... Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG? lol

twitchyzero 12-11-2013 08:45 PM

I thought he was talking about another car too...as he used the adj 'slower' to describe an engine

I think some of you guys thinking that the m3/m4 coming in laguna seca blue would be slightly disappointed. It's a lighter blue that resembles blue painters tape :(

so, it has some form of antilag? is the car gonna go popopopop on the streets?!

FWIW I thought laguna seca blue and phoenix yellow were absolute puke colours for a high end classy car like the E46 M3 when it came out. Took a few years but its grown on me hard

Harvey Specter 12-12-2013 05:28 PM

I'm tempted to replace my 7 with a m4 combo of blue/black with black wheels but biggest question remaining now is the pricing. If the current BMW pricing trends continue the m4 might be nearing a $100k which imo will be way overpriced. Similar to how BMW priced the 6 series GC.

BTW...

Rumour has it it'll be 90kish in the US. Can only imagine in Canuckistan they'll be charging a base price of 120k.

TypeRNammer 12-12-2013 09:10 PM

Are they gonna pump the exhaust note through the audio system like the m5? :rukidding:

holy shit.... if thats actually gonna be the price thats sorta ridiculous, i mean thats right there in the high end sports car money territory and i wouldnt expect that price unless it was like a special track edition
