New high-tech car theft device showing up in the US

It's like bic pens and kryptonite locks all over again.

$3k worth of shit w/ factory alarm?

Steven, you crazy mofo... :fuckthatshit:

StylinRed 12-10-2013 08:36 PM

even if you had an awesome alarm why would you leave $3k worth of anything in the car :crazy2:

The only valuable things I'll leave in my car are my glasses, sunglasses and my shitty ipod shuffle I use for the gym. I could care less if those were stolen lol

Considering they have access to something that high tech, they're pretty stupid for not checking for dashcams before robbing/doing something to car...

I believe thieves in Vancouver are using this device already. My Dad's car was broken in on one night. In the morning when my Dad was going to work, the doors were unlocked already, the glove boxes were open, clearly a sign that someone was looking to steal stuff. Luckily my Dad never leaves valuables in the car. 2 things on the car are broken though. First the car won't beep anymore when you open the drivers door upon entry. Second the lights in the inside of the car won't turn on anymore upon entry as well.

Doesn't this thing like electrically shock the lock/alarm system and pops it open? I remember seeing a youtube vid about this stuff a year or so back

Haven't we touched on this before?

Same thing happened to my neighbor twice... Apparently her suv had been broken into twice and had some belongings stolen and glove box torn open/searched.
No clue of any visible damage of broken into... Almost mysterious of how doors were open without her key/fob.

-just don't put any valuables in your car. If the thief uses that device on your car, he will not steal anything of worth if you keep it elsewhere.

That's a dashcam?? :derp: That thing's huge... and the thief didn't even think about taking it or not walking in front of it lol.

That aside, interesting report... Wonder what that little device thing is and how it works

not really buying that report story.
honestly, if i were to steal shit from someone's car i would just rip off that hunk of junk regardless of me knowing what it is. any idiot would know thats some sort of recording device....

unless those idiots are from 'murica.
oh wait, they are.

THANK GOD they invented shit like this.

I honestly can't be thankful enough. So sick of these fuckers smashing my window and going into my car, even when it's not locked!

To thieves: If you want to steal shit from my car, don't fucking smash my windshield. Take the couple dollar in the tray, ransack it, i'll clean it up. Just don't make me go through the hassle of ICBC and repairing it.

I couldn’t of said it better myself.. if you are stupid enough to leave valuables in your vehicle it’s your fault, at least you won’t have to go through your insurance or the hassle of having a window fixed.
